outdoor experiences through photography. After taking pictures for many years, I finally realized that photography is not about taking pictures! I believe that a glowing sunset, a soaring eagle, or dramatic mountain peak are much more than things we simply see, they are events that we experience with all of our senses. So the challenge for me is to somehow capture the multi-dimensional experience of site, sound, touch, smell and even taste, in the very limited two-dimensional output of a camera. So, I strive to achieve what I believe to be impossible... to share through photography the beauty, splendor, and spirit of just a few of this world's wonders that have been my privilege to experience. A wide angle (Tamron 17-35 Di), a medium zoom/macro (Tamron 28-75 Di), 300mm telephoto, favorite for wildlife shots is image stabilized Canon 300mm f/4L telephoto, The image quality is razor sharp and with the image stabilization, often take hand held shots in low light conditions that would have been impossible a few years ago, no substitute for a good tripod!
